Established in 1956, the Central Ohio Chapter has a prestigious history with HFMA. The chapter was the host of the Annual National Institute from 1967 until 1972 where it was held at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Serving the largest geography in Ohio, the Central Ohio Chapter is a diverse chapter with half of our membership located in suburban Columbus and the other half coming from the rural areas of Southeastern Ohio. Consisting upwards of 400 members, the chapter is organized into Councils that determine the content of education and events of the chapter. Committees then carry out the tasks to accomplish the educational requests of the chapter. This past year the Central Ohio Chapter was the recipient of six chapter awards and one individual award at the Annual National Institute.
